Malibu Electric in Sky Blue

Malibu Electric was the recording studio of choice for many of the icons of the late 60s LA scene. Everyone from Neil Young, Dennis Wilson and David Crosby to Hendrix, Joe Walsh and Stevie Nicks recorded there. Hidden away on the PCH, the studio was well known for hedonistic parties. It was also a favourite studio of record producer Terry Melcher, son of Doris Day and former resident of the infamous Cielo Drive. Melcher had auditioned Charles Manson but declined to sign him, a move that angered Manson and got Melcher’s name on his “hit list”.
